Annual Corn Harvest

Join us Saturday, October 19 from 1:30-3:30 for our annual Corn Harvest! Help us pick our field corn by hand and throw it into the horse-drawn grain wagon. Learn how we select the best ears to save for next year’s seed. Our corn is an heirloom variety called Reid’s Yellow Dent. Reid’s Yellow Dent was developed by central Illinois farmer James Reid. It became a prize-winner at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago and the most popular variety in the Corn Belt.

Cost

Free, Suggested admission donation of $5 per person ages 3 and up to enter the farm.
