Description
The Festival of Cultures is an annual event planned by the City of Wheaton Community Relations Commission celebrating the vibrant cultures that make Wheaton a strong and diverse community.
This free, family-friendly event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Memorial Park. The afternoon will feature live performances, culture, and arts. Kids can get “passports” stamped as they visit the festival’s cultural booths and participate in an interactive mural project.
Past festivals have highlighted a variety of countries and cultures including Belarus, China, India, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Native Americans, South Korea, South Sudan, Turkey, and more.
Live Entertainment
The Memorial Park Bandshell will be the site of live performances from:
- Costas Colectivo (formerly Salsa del Norte)
- Funkadesi
- The Institute of Traditional Irish Music (formerly Murphy Roche School of Music)
- Wheaton College Gospel Choir
