Description
On August 17, 1974, Cosley Zoo in Wheaton opened as Cosley Animal Farm with just a few farm animals. Since then, Cosley Zoo (the official name since 1999) — now is home to more than 200 animals from across Illinois and North America and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Each year, the zoo welcomes more than 150,000 visitors from all across the nation.
One thing that hasn’t changed over the years: the zoo’s commitment to inspiring lifelong interest in the natural world—and supporting this goal by offering free admission daily to all children ages 0-17.
Join us to commemorate this exciting day!
The day’s events will include:

11:30-11:45A: Chicken Feeding (small fee)
10:45A, 1P, and 2P: Animal Encounters in Amphitheater
11A – Noon: AAZK Activity Table & Raffle
11A – 1P: Junior Zookeeper Crafts
1-2P: Cupcakes & Refreshments
