By Press Release from Allison Orr, Downtown Wheaton Association June 24, 2024

Downtown Wheaton has been nominated for Daily Herald’s Best Downtown Atmosphere. As a Top Pick in this year’s Daily Herald Readers’ Choice, Downtown Wheaton is up for the Best of the Best, along with five other suburban districts.

Voters can vote for their favorite Downtown Atmosphere up to once per day until June 30, here. The annual competition has seven categories, including Business to Business, Eating & Drinking, Entertainment, People, Place, Recreation & Activities, and Shopping & Services.

On behalf of all Downtown Wheaton businesses and our hardworking entrepreneurs, the Downtown Wheaton Association (DWA) is thrilled that Wheaton’s central business district is being recognized as a premier destination. DWA Executive Director Allison Orr shared, “Being nominated is really the most meaningful recognition we could receive, whether we win or not, solidifying that Downtown Wheaton is recognized by the greater Chicagoland community as a fun, lively, and thriving destination.”

“Downtown Wheaton supports over 100 small businesses within the central business district, and part of the way we do that is by organizing over 50 events and promotions annually to welcome shoppers, diners, and supporters to discover all that Wheaton has to offer. It’s really fulfilling to see everyone’s hard work pay off with this nomination,” Orr added.

Vote daily for Downtown Wheaton to win Best Downtown Atmosphere via the Daily Herald “Places” category voting page.
