Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11, Downtown Glen Ellyn is bringing out all the fun with a Willy Wonka themed weekend. Over 25 Golden Tickets will be hidden in participating storefronts. Be the first to find a hidden GOLDEN TICKET in the participating storefronts for a scrumdiddlyumptious treat! Only one person per Golden Ticket. Stores are having great discounts for all your Valentine Shopping with everything from gourmet chocolates, beautiful jewelry, cute clothes, lovely books, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Don’t forget to dine on themed food and cocktails such as, the Violet Beauregarde containing McQueen Violet Fog Gin at the Main Street Pub, the Wonka Lemonade with sweet candies inside from Lewey Q’s Tap or try your hand at the 1:00 pm Bingo event while enjoying a chocolate flavored stout at the Beer Cellar!
Look for Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompa walking throughout downtown Glen Ellyn while you shop and dine, and be rewarded with an EVERLASTING GOBSTOPPER. Come and see the classic 1971 film, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory on the big screen (FREE). Showtimes are at 1:00 pm on February 10 and 11 at the Glen Art Movie Theatre located at 540 Cresent Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. This is the sequel to the newly released Wonka Movie. Find out what happens to Willy! Seats are limited on a first serve basis. Please no outside food or drink. The concession stand will be open.
