Baby, it's cold outside 🥶 And it doesn't look like this snow will be melting anytime soon, plus there is more snow in the forecast, so grab your sled and hit the hills! Enjoy the snow at one of these great sledding hills in Wheaton and nearby towns. But be sure to bundle up!

- Northside Park, Wheaton: Fenced off section for climbing back up to reduce the chance of getting knocked down by sleds coming down!
- Newton Park, Glen Ellyn: Standalone hill in the middle of the park, so you can sled down all sides!
- Sunset Knolls, Lombard: Really wide open field and hill, so lots of space to spread out with other sledders!
- Churchill Elementary School, Glen Ellyn: Located behind the school, available when school isn't in session
- Wynwood Park, Winfield: Located near the baseball fields
- Community Park, Lisle: Located behind the Lisle Senior High School
- Camera Park, Glendale Heights: Really wide open field and hill, so lots of space to spread out with other sledders!
- Armstrong Park, Carol Stream: Located at the north end of the park, near Roy De Shane Elementary School
- Mount Hoy, Blackwell Forest Preserve, Warrenville: Snow tubing $10 rentals in person; Get text alerts when the hill will be open by texting TUBING to 866-743-7332.
Some other suburban sledding hills with notable unique features:
- Villa Olivia, Bartlett: Snow tubing reservations for ages 4+ can be made online - but they sell out quickly!
- Central Park, Oak Brook: Has pull ropes on the hill to help walk back to the top
- Ty Warner Park, Westmont: Free sled library that can be used by community members & returned when finished
**There is also an old retention pond at Blanchard and President in Wheaton that many people used to go for sledding. However last year there were signs installed prohibiting trespassing there, so we did not include it in this list!
