1. Cantigny Fall Festival

The Cantigny fall festival runs the entire weekend! The fun begins Friday night with live music on the Cantigny parade field! Cozy up on the Adirondacks around a firepit or play lawn games. Saturday features over 50 craft vendors, hayrides, petting zoo, live music and entertainment, kids’ crafts, and pumpkin and plant sales. This three-day festival concludes at 9 pm on Sunday after another full day of colorful, seasonal fun for the whole family.

Friday-Saturday October 11-13th

2. Downtown Wheaton Touch-a-Truck

Honk, Honk! Beep, Beep! This community-favorite returns to Liberty Drive, which will be closed between Wheaton Avenue and Hale Street, to make way for trucks, municipal vehicles, emergency vehicles, and more! Get up close, climb, honk, and touch these cool vehicles from right behind the wheel!

Saturday October 11, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

3. Fall Festival at Danada

The Forest Preserve District’s largest event returns for two days! Festivities will include equestrian performances and demonstrations in the outdoor arena, wagon rides, pony rides and other children’s activities, food and entertainment, barn tours, and more. Admission and parking are free, but there are small fees for some activities.

Saturday-Sunday October 11-12th

4. OAKtober Walk

Enjoy the fall colors at beautiful St. James Farm Forest Preserve as you learn about oaks on a guided walk. If you wish, bring crayons and paper to make your own leaf and bark rubbings. Ages 5 and up!

5. Not So Scary Mini Golf at Coyote Crossing

With the kids out of school on Monday, go enjoy one of the last days of the season of Coyote Crossing Mini Golf! The course will be decked out in Halloween fun, but nothing too spooky. Costumes encouraged but not required!
