Free Comic Book Day was started over 20 years ago as a way to attract new readers to independent comic book stores. Now with over 2,000 comic book shops participating worldwide, this fun event continues to strengthen the love of comics and introduce new comic book readers to the industry. It's not just Spiderman and Batman, there are comics for all age ranges and all interests! Luckily, in Wheaton we have lots of great ways to take part in Free Comic Book Day 2024 on May 4th!
When you visit the store for Free Comic Book Day, you will be able to pick from a limited selection of specific titles available for Free Comic Book Day. The same selection will be available at all stores and libraries, but some titles will sell out quickly, so be sure to get there early! Some stores have additional events and happenings to check them out!

Join us in the Arts and Culture Center and geek out with some free comics and a trivia contest.
Participants for trivia have between the hours of 10a-2p to fill out a trivia sheet with answers; winners will receive gift cards to Graham Cracker Comics and will be chosen at random.
Come celebrate Free Comic Book Day with Star Wars themed activities, games, and a visit from a special Sith guest! For families. ¡Ven a celebrar el Día de Libos de Cómic con actividades temáticas de Star Wars, juegos y una visita de un invitado especial! Para familias.
Not only is it Star Wars Day, but May 4th is also Free Comic Book Day! Visit the Adult Services desk anytime Saturday, May 4th between 9am-5pm to pick up a free comic book, or be creative in making your own comic with comic book paper. One comic per person please, while supplies last.
