Winfield’s ABC-123 Preschool is back with familiar faces and memorable teachers, Danielle Rooney and Bridget Irving! Find out more about this program that is guided by the philosophy of learning through play. Conveniently located at Winfield Park District, it's perfect for giving your 3 and 4 year olds the foundation they need before entering kindergarten.
Our nurturing teachers and staff:
• Give the opportunity for play based learning using thematic centers and hands-on learning. Play is where children learn how to share, create, cooperate, and solve problems.
• Focus on the needs of the whole child: academic, emotional, physical, and social
• Use comprehensive curriculum concentrating on letter and sound identification through songs, activities, stories, and movements. Students will also be introduced to writing skills, shapes, number recognition, and other math concepts.
• Allow creative arts expression featuring painting, drawing, crafts, singing, and movement. Through these fun activities, children practice self-control, build coordination, and learn how to work and play well with others.
• Provide consistent communication, weekly newsletters, and family events

3 Year Old Class: Tuesdays/Thursdays 9:00am-11:30am
4 Year Old Pre-K: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:00am-12:00pm
Pre-K Enrichment Program: Monday/Wednesday 12:00pm-3:00pm
The Pre-K Enrichment Program is offered to students who are enrolled in our 4 year old preschool program, and specifically designed for students that are ready to attend longer school days. Children will enjoy extra socialization with peers during lunch, more student-teacher interaction while working on pre-kindergarten skills, and the opportunity to learn about exciting new themes!
