Thanksgiving is one of our family's favorite holidays - with family gatherings without the theme of presents and consumerism. Focusing on quality time, thankfulness, and of course, delicious food, it is a time to reflect as we are slowing down to prepare for a long winter.
It's important to me to explore the history behind holidays, so we understand why we do the fun things we do. Even though the real history behind Thanksgiving isn't fun at all, we still read about it and discuss it. It's a great opportunity to talk about greed and gratitude.
Hopefully however you choose to celebrate is full of food, friends, and fun!
